Mortal Kombat 9 Coming to PC

Mortal Kombat 9, the best-selling fighter and the game which brought bloody fatalities back to the masses, may well be seeing release on PC. Although two years late to the party, Mortal Kombat Game of the Year Edition is currently available to pre-order at Amazon - they've even put in a price. It has a PEGI rating, it's playable on Windows 7/XP, it's coming out in June; the only thing that seems to be missing is an official confirmation. (Mortal Kombat 9, PC)

Gives me a reason to break out the Xbox 360 controller for my PC. Can't wait. ^_^

Same here. Hope it will be good. PC don't have to many games like that.

There are number of people her are eager for this game to come to the PC. And each of them got one disagree.

Why would some people do that?

Because they want to play mk with a 360 controller which is not made for fighting games because of its horrible d-pad

@Cee

Yeah, but if it's a choice between a 360 pad and a keyboard.

I was going to say it would be nice to play this game at 60 fps, but I'm already playing it on the Vita and Ps3 LOL. So i'll say, I can't wait to play this in 1080p full:P and extra graphics hopefully;D

I never played any of the games when they first came out but this one was really great, especially the story mode. I would love a sequel, but was Shao Kahn always that cheap to fight?
JohnApocalypse  +   70d ago
I don't think he's that hard. Once you know his moves and be able to do some basic combos he's a cakewalk
krazykombatant  +   70d ago
yes shao kahn was always a cheap bastard.

THE shoulder charge. -_-
iamgoatman  +   70d ago
Once you learn his pattern and weakness (jump over him) in MK9 he's probably one of the easiest he's been. If you think he's cheap, try UMK3, he's just not fair! That's if you can get past Motaro first, who was in some ways, even worse.

All you need to do is jump over him constantly and hit him from behind :)

Why too late?
cayleee  +   70d ago
Its late, but better late than never.

Also the bonus is we get to keep the PC version. Unlike the console version which wont work the with the next consoles, will require multiple consoles hooked onto the TV to work.

At least the PC version is permanent collection can go back to it even in 5, 10, 15 years no questions asked.

Def getting the PC version.

I'm going to call this "contained excitement." If we hear an announce from WB, it will expand beyond that.

CALLED IT, great news although I wonder if that means they will also release some more DLC.
JohnApocalypse  +   70d ago
It would be cool if there will be MK themed TF2 hats if you pre-order from Steam

I didn't like this game as much as i hoped for...it's a gr8 game but too much of the same stuff whether it's moves, characters, stages and i know it's a reboot but meh too samey which blowed the replay value for me,don't let me start about the unplayable online..i missed the mini games, cool characters and weapons..Japanese fighting games have much better gameplay.I just downloaded DOA5 via PSplus and Ryu alone has 116 moves i think..that's insane!!!!!

It's going to look amazing on PC... :o

Hope this includes the costumes from the Vita version. Purple ninja rain and the MK2 versions of Noob and Smoke were great additions.
