"Hm, bunch of high profile video games, oh hey Argo, SEALAB 2021, FREAKING SOLD."
TheRealSpy  +   493d ago
Would have been better to use a Sealab voice actor for the first 2 Bioshocks...you know...when it took place under the sea...

I guess the game will be localized in Europe, so all I hope is that the french cast is as good as the first Bioshock. It's pretty rare to have french dubs with the quality of Bioshock ones.

Why don't you play it in english? I play most games in english cause the voice acting is how it's supposed to be.

Beh si il est français il a tout a fait le droit de vouloir profiter du jeu avec un doublage français, je ne vois pas où est le problème. Surtout si le doublage en question est de qualité ! :)

Exactement, KarmicDemon.

I_am_Batman: I only do it when french dubs are awful and english dubs are available (unfortunately, it's not always the case). I did it for example with Trine 1 & 2 (french dubs weren't that bad, but they cruelly lacked of tone and conviction).

The only exception is with the Legacy of Kain series. I loved it so much I've played the game in multiple languages: first in french, then in english, then in german,... And every time, I found the dubs awesome.

Lol i would hate if i would play a game in dutch, i actually had to put my entire xbox on english cause assassins creed would just have the dumbest names xD

For example it said: huur moordenaars graf instead off assassins tomb xD
It just sounded so dumb :p

But yeah for the other countries i defintly understand, if it's your own language you can relate more, especially with humor

Was hoping to see the name Armin shimmerman in there, the voice actor of andrew ryan.

Well that busts my theory of running into him in infinite.

My thoughts where that since ryan always mentioned the life on the surface and how the goverment and church always opposed the experiments and ’human evolution' in his eyes, i thought columbia would be a great place for ryan to be in his life before rapture.

Well, this doesn't necessarily mean your theory is out. Bioshock Inifinite is set in 1912, while Bioshock is set in 1960.

So if Andrew Ryan once lived in Columbia, he certainly was pretty young, so Irrational Games would certainly need a younger voice actor, and probably for a kid voice.

I don't say your theory is right or wrong, I just say that you can still hope disregard the absence of Armin Shimerman in the voice cast.

Ha you're right haven't though about that.
But now you mention that its in 1912, that's a pretty long time in between, and i doubt ryan was over 60 years old.

Still, maybe his father was there and told ryan the stories later on.

:P i know its a game and the developers and story writers might not take all the lore that serious, but its still fun to speculate with a story as deep as bioshock's

Thanks for keeping the theory alive ;) :p

Quite a few recognizable voice actors there. Nice. Can't wait to play this game later this month!

Damn, I was hoping the videos we've seen so far were misdirection and that both Booker and Elizabeth were actually voiced by H Jon Benjamin. Oh well, still looking forward to this.
