Thief Will Feature a "Less Goth" Garrett - UPDATED

"He may look like the bass player from a Bauhaus cover band, but Eidos says it's actually toned down the "goth" look of the redesigned Garrett."

The fact that the new model looks stupid as hell is barely even a problem compared to this.

"We wanted to bring him more for the modern audience of today's console market," Cantin said. "He's now in the game doing more action moves".

I have absolutely no idea why you guys are getting disagrees.
Trust me, I feel you. One of my favorite franchises, Splinter Cell, has also been scraped clean of what made it such an awesome series to begin with, so I really hope this doesn't happen with Thief.
I'll never forget the lead designer of Conviction saying, "I just never had the patience to wait in shadow and move slowly in my environment and memorize enemy cycles...So I removed that stuff."
I couldn't believe it.

Thanks, but no thanks.

Huge fan of both original games, but after de xboxbastardization of the franchise, not sure about this one.

Kinda looks like the Nightingale armor from Skyrim.

Every old IP this gen which gets a new instalment ends up being nothing like what the franchise is about

Final Fantasy, Resident Evil, Max Payne, Tomb Raider, Splinter Cell etc
