NeoGaffers Believe That Joakim Mogren Was Created Using The Fox Engine During The GTTV Interview

A few NeoGaffers believe that Joakim Mogren, the head of the gaming studio Moby Dick (using this term very loosely), is a CG character designed to show of the new Fox Engine being worked on at Kojima Productions. (Culture, Fox Engine, Tech)

Wait what ? it looks real, definitely is real !

Dunno, something felt "off" about his face before I even read this speculation.

Kojima's GDC session is called "Photorealism through the eyes of FOX", about the FoxEngine, so this should fit nicely.

Also, don't you think this whole interview was pretty pointless? He didn't answer anything. So I'm guessing the "point" of this interview is to surprise people in GDC by revealing that this was all CG.

I want to believe, that would be MEGATON - people actually wondering if it's real or not is pretty huge

There was definitely something weird going on. I just can't put my finger on it.

His lips looked funny.

One of the big things that people are using to prove this wrong is the transparency of the bandages.

I would't say I'm 100% sure, but I'm open to the idea of being convinced...

I effing love Kojima at this point, (well since MGS1) lol
TVippy  +   990d ago
Definitely more likely than Cliffy B. Cliffy will laugh his ass off, when he sees the news.
Still think it's Cliff (attachment)? Well, you're blind.

People REALLY think it's Cliffy? It was a joke over twitter, get over it people.
Cursinguser  +   990d ago
If that guy is CG, then Phantom Pain looks like crap in comparison.
TVippy  +   990d ago
Don't forget that Kojima was previously boasting about FOX engine's ability to render cloth (bandages).
3styler  +   990d ago
Man, people will believe anything. Guys this is getting embarassing.

It's just a PR stunt... we'll get all the answers soon enough. It's definitely not a CG I mean come on.
Hydralysk  +   990d ago
Why are people getting so obsessed with this?

If you look at the lips on the screenshot for the article, you can clearly see the edges around the lips. This is CG. Im not surprised that people cant tell the difference, mostly everyone thinks Battlefield 3 and Black Ops 2 look amazing. They look like turd sandwiches. Bf3 looks good only on a PC at max settings. Everyone needs to get their eyes checked.
If Im wrong, I will eat my hat.

Oh yeah? Is this CG as well, then?

Some people are pushing it too hard.
TXIDarkAvenger  +   990d ago
If it is created by the fox engine, my mind is blown. It looks very real.

Mogren has the word "ogre" in between the m and the n. it refers to his project announced awhile back as project ogre. So it's Deff about the fox engine and MGS.

So drones on a forum filled with marketing agents, PR folk, and paid forum posters are calling attention to an obvious viral marketing campaign?

LAWSON72  +   989d ago
I rewatched the interview and when they show screens his fingers look kind of plastic and it is kind of weird keighley is not shown at same time as the mogren guy.
BitbyDeath  +   989d ago
I mentioned that in this thread-

Would make sense since the camera never stays on him for long.

He is not CG, no game engine is that good, if they were showing of some sort of CGI this could NOT be done in real time and would have to be render by hundreds of servers. Take Blizzard cinematics, they are the BEST cinematics in the world yet anyone can tell there not human even though down to each pixel they are detailed with skin pigment color and hair. Also The picture of him over exposed, an engine can't do that.
8bit_Nes_Rambo  +   983d ago
LMAO! Blizzard cinematics.
