Pokémon Rumble U: NFC Figure Trailer and Screens

Nintendo release a new trailer and screens to show off the NFC capabilities of Pokémon Rumble U, as well as the figures (and details on which ones will be made available) that can be scanned in-game a-la Skylanders. (Dev, Nintendo, Pokemon, Pokémon Rumble U, Wii U)

Just give me a full pokemon game on Wii U. I have no idea what was going on in the trailer for this..

It looks a bit meh, but I promise the original WiiWare Pokémon Rumble was genuinely a good game.

(Still, a 'proper' Pokémon title for consoles may be interesting. Unsure if it'd work.)

It doesn't look good at all. But then again, we're not part of the audience anymore since we're not in their target age group.

Just putting this out there, I'd buy a Wii U just for a full Pokemon RPG. (I mean like the classic Pokemon games but in 3D with realistic looking environments and an open world feel.)

Nintendo have been known to check forums and stuff for fan feedback, hopefully they catch on to the demand for a serious console version of Pokemon.

One day it might happen. On the light of a blue moon. lol
I been waiting forever for that full Pokemon RPG as well. X&Y will somewhat tide me over for now.

It makes sense if you try the first pokémon rumble. It's pretty good, by the way. Get some friends to your house and give it a chance ;)

This is just the calm before the storm
If Nintendo does this type of feature right, I could see it being very profitable for them.

How come I never got into Pokemon? I did like Snap though. That was pretty fun. The games have never interested me much.

I can often be negative with regards to the Wii U...

...BUT if Ninty brought out a PROPER Pokemon title with the full range of collectible NFC enabled pokemon figures, they could print money off that title!

It looks super cute and insane, it will print money for Nintendo in Japan. This will probably not hit the US in this form, but in another form it will be insanely popular in the US also.

Crazy Japanese gamers love then some weird shit.

Yea cos a man in a loincloth killing gods isn't weird at all. /sarcasm

I never played the series but that looks fairly good to me for a eshop title, the figures are smaller and cheaper than them stupid skylanders figures ? i like this form of NFC it just goes to show the GAMEPAD can do everything.

That trailer was TERRIBLE! It made me want to run from this, not TO it.

The aspect that makes Skylanders successful is that each have their own power and they integrate well within the game.

This is just insanity?!

I have no idea what they were saying but, I wish Nintendo could've made it so that you can use Pokemon cards instead of figures that would've been much better. Then again I don't think they even make those... ;)
