It was confirmed today via Twitter's co-founder and Creative Director of NetherRealm Studios, Ed Boon, another playable character in Injustice: Gods Among US.
Now instead of Doomsday will join the list of playable characters in Injustice: Gods Among US. He is a villain (a major) of DC Comics, and became world famous after being responsible for the death of Superman.
Doomsday born several experiments fairs by an alien scientist on Krypton, give birth your hatred for Superman. It started long before the humanoid master race Krypton, this was a planet filled with ferocious monsters where only the strongest survived. One day a scientist had the idea to throw a baby out of the secure perimeter, and as was expected the monsters killed, the scientist then used a machine to collect the remains of the baby's DNA.
Anyway, on topic this is pretty cool. It will be interesting to see how they balance this character with the rest of the roster.
Doomsday is a great addition to the roster. Too bad the game mechanics look like they just copied and pasted stuff from MK vs DC. Not to mention some of the finishers look uninspiring.
how would a non powered character like Catwoman last more than a nanosecond against somebody like doomsday?
i know they can balance the game from a gameplay persepctive, but when they've got well established characters with such vastly different strengths, i don't see how they can balance it and still be true to the source material.
maybe this is just the comic book fangirl in me talking, but i just can't get over that.
not saying it'll be a bad game, it could be a great beat em up, but as a lifelong reader of the comics i just have to ask how it's going to work.
This game showcases everyone's powers and abilities in an over the top way. If they followed comic fan fair then everyone that punched superman would break their hand or something. You could easily beat bane by pulling his tubes, and so on...
I think what you're looking for is a DC role playing game that would keep the comic folklore.
i've always said realism should take a back seat to gameplay, i guess that should apply here too.
i should probably go play some more DCU online. ^_^
