Ni No Kuni Review - VGFury

Exerpt from the article:

"Recent outcry in the gaming world would have us believe that the JRPG genre is dead; that it’s inability to innovate and stray from established formula has led to the loss of a western fanbase. But is originality really what’s missing from the formula? With the success of Ni no Kuni, Level 5 and Studio Ghibli’s collaborative project, we may have to think again." (Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, PS3) 8/10

The game is definitely a solid 8, great game but lots of room for improvement.

Can't believe that there are still like 4 more JRPG's out for the PS3 this year. JRPG's are the best, absolutely love them. This game was a piece of art, even more beautiful than Eternal Sonata.

Yeah, this year we got Ni no Kuni, Atelier Ayesha, Disgaea Dimension 2, The Guided Fate Paradox, Tales of Xillia, KH HD, FF X HD (maybe), Lightning Returns, and Drakengard 3. Hopefully there's more info about FF Versus, Persona 5, and Xillia 2 localization.

Also, on other platform (3DS, Vita) we got Shin Megaten IV, Shin Megaten Soul Hackers, Fire Amblem Awakening, Etrian Odyssey, Ys IV, Tales of Hearts R (namco, please localize this!), PSO 2, God Eater 2. With all this high quality JRPG, it's really amusing when someone said JRPG is dead / not rellevant anymore.

This game is awesome, but sometimes it can be hard as f*ck... or maybe i'm just a bad player. Anyway, i'm really enjoying this game.
