Is 'Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag' the last significant game in the series?

StickSkills saidn, "So, all fans of the Creed out there (whether the video game series or that rock band whose CDs you undoubtedly own), embrace Black Flag. Not because we all think it'll be the high point of the franchise, or because of its innovations in game design. Instead, take it as the Assassin's swan song. It's likely that there will be another Assassin's Creed game down the line, but unless everything about the mechanics is flipped on its head, expect this fourth game to be the last significant entry." (Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, PC, PS3, PS4, Watch Dogs, Xbox 360, Xbox One)

Even though we can see ubisoft obviously pulling a cod milking style, the biggest difference is that asscreed can change times and location which can make people over look the milking. Its like I want to say I wont play it but damnn, there is no pirate game.

Then after this we will say no buy for asscreed 5 and then your a ninja in japan or a egyptian or copeira brazilian slave.

You see I cannot resist that, although I would rather those areas were used in new IPs.

This also shows us that the game industry in general is lazy in some ways, there is so much places for gaming worlds to go and bring brilliant story and gameplay.

They could so totally add in different game mechanics for each of those scenarios but keep it open world with different story lines and make each one it's very own IP with different titles. Ubisoft has effectively created it's very own genre and they could branch out with and not be called out on copying since they were the first to do that kind of play style. Kind of like Watchdogs, its a modern/futuristic version of AC. Just sayin'.

Personally, I thought the last significant Assassin's Creed was Assassin's Creed II - I played through Brotherhood, but gave the whole series up after that. Assassin's Creed II was definitely the series high point for me.

I started the playing ACB i loved the game so much it made me buy AC2 and AC1. I dislike ACR and i AC3 is the worst imo.

I doubt it will end with 4 as long as the money keeps rolling in, they'll have 5 out in no time along with 2-3 sub installments to go with it.
