Why Persona 3 FES is Still Worth Playing After 5 Years

DualShockers Writes: "Even though I was thoroughly captivated by the remarkable anime fighter Persona 4: Arena, I’d actually never played any of the proper Persona RPGs. Our editor Chad Awkerman urged me to try one of them on more than one occasion and when I saw Persona 3: FES on the PlayStation Store for just $10, I couldn’t resist jumping in and seeing what all the hype was about. What my $10 bought me was a thrilling 80+ hour ride through what is without a doubt one of the most unique and compelling JRPGs I’ve played in recent years.

This is one title that you’d very much rather experience late than never." (Atlus, Persona 3: FES, PS2, PS3)

One of the best RPG's I've played. However Persona 4 is still better.

Gameplay maybe but P3 is better in story, character development and difficulty.

Althoug i prefer the other Megatens like Strange Journey and Digital Devil Saga.

Agreed I enjoyed P3 much more over all. P3s story was just so good.... And sad.

Lol also the way they summoned personas in P3 was bad ass!

One thing about the SMT games (especially the rereleases like FES and Golden) is that there's so much content! I mean, the games are just jam-packed with tons of stuff to do.

Busy with Persona 4 Golden at the moment. Will maybe try this later, or just wait for Persona 5.

Funny story I just beat this a few days ago, both parts to be exact. Yeah one of the best RPGs ever. Time to get Persona 4 Golden.

They should release a HD upgrade for the Vita like persona 4.
It will still hold up really well even without the extra things added to P4.

Definitely one of my favorite games of all time. Definitely my favorite JRPG of all time. Can't wait to see what they do with persona 5!
izumo_lee  +   559d ago
As much as i think that to summon a persona one needs to do a shooting motion at the head is cool & all there is something that Persona 4 does that tugs at the player emotionally.

Persona 3 has a story more dramatic but the simple approach to story that Persona 4 has in my personal opinion made it easier to get into & enjoy throughout. Persona 3 is a legendary game no bones about it & it should stand equal to Persona 4 as games that will forever be mentioned as greatest of all time.

I would live to play this on my vita
I love persona 4
