Microsoft tested this with the 360 but could there be a low priced subscription-based Xbox 720 on the horizon?

Nope,i'd rather buy the reg model without all that subscription crap.

It likely will be the premium model.

You'll just be locked into a specifically priced XBL subscription for a few years. What's the current deal, $15 a month?

That's likely the thing to generally be worried about. With all of the media and cable channels on the table the current $60 a year deal could be going away. Being able to buy them for less.

Another Question:
How exactly will violation of terms of use work with leasing? If piracy/modding/illegal early access to games becomes an issue next gen, MS will know exactly either who's doing it and which specific console. They could ban a household if not just impose fines.

Depends on what the subscription is. $199 box for a monthly Xbox Live fee? Depends on the details.

If they do keep this subsidized deal going & allow it on the new system. I may buy one while do a contract deal on the other giving me two Xbox's & keeping money for release titles. After thinking about it am in .

Nope, I will just buy the system at full price. If the iPad can cost $400-$600 and will be outdated in 1-2 years, a console like the X730 that can provide me with 5-7 years worth of games, Blu Ray movies, games and music on demand, cable tuner, backward compatibility, skype, and everything else but the kitchen sink, it is definitely worth it all full price.
