A Bird Story: About dreams, imagination and memories

A Bird Story by Kan Gao from Freebird Games is the spiritual successor of his Indie hit, To the Moon, one of the best games you will ever play. Gao is somewhat of a magician, his games are visually unimpressive, lacks any action and requires the player to allow the game to play itself, you are but a witness. As you allow the game to wash over you, for its emotion to seep into your soul, you become enraptured, its bitter sweet tale captures your being.

It’s magical and a gaming experience unlike any you’ve encountered before.

MWEB GameZone takes a look at the studios next installment; A Bird Story.

Sounds interesting, but wouldn't this then be not really a game, but something else, like be better told in the film medium, rather than as a PC game?

Making it a game gives the player at least some form of interactivity, which means you get drawn into the story on a more immersive level than you would by just watching it

Well for one, I like the "interactive movie" concept and its nice to see some new IP coming out that is a little different to the norm. Well done to Freebird Games.

Some lovely artwork and the soundtrack theme are available on the official web site. Kan Gao also shares some thoughts on managing expectations from the first game to this one:

Thanks for sharing that Likalota. Kan is really going to have to pull out the stops to meet the expectations set by To the Moon
