Professor Layton Takes His Final Bow, Now It’s Time For Something New

Siliconera - Level 5 have been referring to Azran Legacies as Professor Layton’s final adventure, and it’s just as well. With sales declining so steeply this generation, it looks like it might be time for the Professor Layton series to see some sort of a shake-up if Level 5 intend to continue it in any form. (3DS, Professor Layton and the Azran Legacies)

Too bad. The Layton games are gold.

Developers get bored.

I, at least, am always optimistic when developers move on to something new, even if their old series was fantastic.

Granted, it doesn't always work out for the better.

(I remember Daikatana: NEVER FORGET).
