I played the demo and it was terrible. Why is it so hard to understand? Handheld gamers are fine with sidescrollind Castlevania.

i read an article on neogaf that mercury steam needs to choose between 3ds and the vita because of a tight budget...

they chose the 3ds.... and the result a game that is not as close to the lords of shadow on consoles because of the limitations of 3ds...

have they been choose the vita then it will be a different game than this one.... just saying ^_^

Game rocks. Idk where all the bad reviews come from. I can see it changed from the Metroidvania type game to levels but its about the same. There's still big levels with some exploration, hidden items, and backtracking. It has tons of throwbacks and stuff in there specifically for fans. The graphics rock, 3d is amazing, combat is same as in LOS or GOW except in 2d, and its fun. Either people dislike that its a LOS game instead of the classic Castlevania or they're pissed it's on the 3ds. Don't judge from gameplay or hearsay, play it yourself and then decide. It's not perfect by any means but its basically a 2d LOS with far more classic elements and characters. It's a good Castlevania for sure.
