Metal Gear Countdown: Top 5 Plot Twists

Plot twists. They are staple of the Metal Gear series, and we have seen many of them over the years. But which ones are the most unexpected, the most emotional, or left the biggest impact on the overall story? (Culture, Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons Of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes, PS2, PS3, Xbox 360)

The Boss' defection didn't feel like a plot twist. It was an emotional epilogue for such a great character. When playing MGS3 for the first time, the Boss' actions would always puzzle the player. You learn she defects near the start of the game, then her actions seems restrained and you start to think that perhaps she has her own agenda.

One of the themes in MGS3 is Snake struggling with the fact that the Boss defected. He could not accept someone as loyal as the Boss would abandon her country. And when you finally learn how strong and unbreakable her loyalty is, you can't help but salute as well during the final scene in front of the empty grave.

truth. MGS3 to me is definitely the best one.

Although, I thought MGS2 had the most number of crazy WTF moments.

I need scissors. 61!
