im excited because theyll probably show it on ps4 and it probably wont be a dumbed down version of the pc version like bf3 was. I cant wait to see the player count per server on ps4 along with the next gen graphics

seanpitt231954d ago

Just the thought of BF4 on PS4 makes my hairs stands up wow

GadgetGooch1954d ago

Personally i think it will be shown on the new xbox.

Ilovetheps41954d ago

Gadget, I think that the PS3 version of BF3 got exclusive content. So, that leads me to believe that they have a better relationship with Sony than they do with Microsoft. So, I think it will be shown on the PS4 if it is shown on consoles.

xxLuckyStrike1954d ago (Edited 1954d ago )

You"ll first see BF4 running on a PC with current up to date hardware. The first next gen console version of BF4 shown to the public will be on a XBOX and the MS reveal in April. PS3 will be last

*Especially since EA and MS have an exclusive deal

Hopefully running on PS4 and not PC. If BF4 ran on PS4 and truly looked stunning like EA said. Then they would run the game on next gen console to prove its REAL next gen.

DOMination-1953d ago

They won't show it on ps4 because EA have a strategic partnership with MS now. It will be PC and then when Xboxis revealed, it will be on that. It will be the same on ps4 though except for some added controller lag features.

Scumbag-Steve1954d ago (Edited 1954d ago )

I am more excited for the next COD game battlefield ain't realistic enough.

lassenwolf1954d ago

Wait, Ea game ,noooooooooo, never again, online pass from ea never again, did you say sim city never again

jimbobwahey1954d ago

Yeah, I'm through with EA games, they screw their customers so much more than Activision could ever dream of. Besides, I'm tired of EA games looking and running like absolute garbage on consoles. They always trick and deceive consumers with footage running on $2k computers.

They're scum.

3GenGames1954d ago (Edited 1954d ago )

So many disagrees. The state of videogames is down the drain, too many idiots who just put up with this garbage...such a pitty. Nobody cares about their rights as a consumer...I'm sad to be a gamer today...but glad I'm also a gamer that doesn't need new games and can play without being screwed by a big company to do so.

claterz1954d ago

3Genames if people like the games then so what. I don't think people on this site realize that they are in the minority. Most people who buy video games don't know anything about the company who make or publish them, they just buy the games because they're fun.

Obviously what EA have done with SimCity is bad and the fact that they will be putting micro transactions into most of their games is something not everyone wants. But still if they make a game that interests you and that would give you hundreds of hours of entertainment, why not just buy it and not worry about minor things that probably won't even effect you.

I honestly get sick of hearing the same old "CoD is ruining the Industry" and "developers are trying to appeal to casuals" crap. A small group of hardcore gamers not buying these games isn't going to mean anything to big publishers so really you just have to deal with it and play the games that interest you.

Septic1954d ago

You sound more like a political activist than a gamer. If people enjoy the content on offer who are you to label them as idiots? I'm sorry but the last thing I want to do is politicise gaming- if a game is good then I will buy it.

3GenGames1954d ago (Edited 1954d ago )

Those 2 people above me are definitely some that are causing this problem, and let it not only go on, but grow.

Okay, so you're going to buy a game because you like it, okay, sweet. Now...comes around and BOOM. 3 DLC packs, Microtransactions, you can't resell it...all because you liked it? No thanks, I choose not to be a slave/idiot like you guys.

And when have I said this is the developers problem? 90% of the time, it's on the publishers shoulders. Genius.

It's not political, it's about not being an idiot. This would never fly if people weren't so knowledgeable and lazy. Shame...shame...we are the class of "The class of dumb." All because of people like you justifying their greedy Action.

SHAME on you, and shame on me being part of your group called "Gamers."

ETA: claterz. I never said anyone is forcing you to buy it either. But when the content is on in the HELL DO YOU JUSTIFY IT? Man....stupidity...everywhere. Like I said...class of the dumb.

claterz1954d ago

Wow 3gen you are pathetic. Who says you have to buy into micro transactions and DLC once you've paid for the game? No one is forcing you to buy it. It's simply there for the people who want it.

I paid for the DLC in BF3 because I love the game and therefore having the option of having even more content is something that gives me more entertainment.

"you can't resell it...all because you liked it?" Why the hell do you buy games then??? I buy them because I LIKE them. Is there something wrong with that?

Love myself some Battlefield. Cannot wait to see what they have done with this game.

MAJ0R1954d ago

Didn't buy Battlefield 3, probably won't be buying Battlefield 4.

Wenis1954d ago

I bought BF3, but I'm not kidding when I say that the ONLY map I play is Gulf of Oman conquest 500%. Ironically that was a BF2 map.

I don't know why it is so hard for the current DICE to make real battlefield maps anymore. Also $100 says they have a beta with another COD-esque CQC map.

Hufandpuf1954d ago

Is Bandahr Desert not a BF map? What about Alborz Mountain? Both huge maps with a lot of vehicles.

Wenis1954d ago

Didn't buy any DLC. Speaking of DLC though, it still is a slap in the face that the first DLC they made was close quarters. Doesn't sound like the DICE of yesteryear to me

TheSaint1954d ago

Then why even bother reading this article?

Why post such an irrelevant thing?

The stupidity and pointlessness of your post is astounding.

Cam9771954d ago (Edited 1954d ago )

They butchered BF3 after launch by punishing non-premium players and added the terrible custom-server option; I still remember being put in the 'Saudi Warfighters' server despite living in the UK. The product I have now is not what I bought in December 2021, it is an entirely different entity.

Moreover, their customer service is shocking so I'll play it safe and either buy used the following year (complete edition) or forget it completely. EA have overtaken Acti in terms of how bad they are.

DarthJay1954d ago

Back to the future moment there. Or a typo. But it's cooler thinking you are a time traveler.

Mutant-Spud1954d ago (Edited 1954d ago )

Don't buy their games at launch, wait a couple of months,it's not the games which are the problem it's this consumer mindset which says "Gimme, Gimme, Gimme, Now, Now, Now!". Everyone knows multiplayer games get better with age and anyone who says the BF3 DLC was a rip off is just talking nonsense. As for the custom server "issues" I just hit Colonel last night and I've had a total of one "incident", got kicked for shooting down a mod with the SA-18, otherwise it's been fine.

Th4Freak1954d ago

Agree, I paid $60 for the game and then they release a premium edition for the same price and the worst part is that they didn't give us a discount for the premium we still have to pay $50 for it.

I love BF but I wont buy any EA game again in a while.
