Arma 3's alpha build is now purchasable on steam. (ArmA 3, PC, Steam)

I wondered when this structure was going to be adopted by a game company. Why not offer up your alpha build for open testing, use what you learn from users to enhance into a beta build, then give those initial users the final product, in all its glory, for free.

This is the first I''ve HEARD of such a structure (perhaps there are more, I am not a PC gamer) and I think it could only be of great benefit to developers/publishers who use it.

Good stuff, I may even break my console diehard approach to try this one out.

I don't think this can be done on a console unless the game is digital (Which next-gen is moving towards). Many PC only games should be adapting this.
