3 Things Call of Duty Has to Do to Stay On Top: Connectivity

For the first time in years, analysts are starting to banter around the fact that Call of Duty may be on a decline. The numbers suggest that 2013 may not be a year of sales on the same level as previous iterations of the multi-billion dollar franchise.

Is it finally time to put Call of Duty out to pasture?

Today, we're taking a look at connectivity in Call of Duty and how the user experience can improve to ensure Call of Duty stays dominant in the coming years. (Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, PC, PS3, Wii U, Xbox 360)

The only thing CoD needs to do to stay on top is keep doing what makes it popular, which is it's mindless twitch action.

yes, but as mindless as it is and no matter how twitchy it is... if at the end of the twitching and the shooting part there is no kill, even the mindless will give up on it.

compared to past cods, i have seen a massive decline in the number of friends that play the game. most of it is due to one simple fact; It is the most inconsistant online shooter that is out right now, even compared to past cods.

personally i have never played anything like it. I have one or two friends who do still play it but they have resorted to only playing HC in an effort to reduce the frustration.

I know that all online games have a bit of lag etc, but I have never experienced the kind of crap that i get in this game except for when MW3 launched.

anyway, even a noob will get tiered of shooting people first only to get instakilled

What do they mean "may be"? The games have been on a decline for the past few games. Activision will continue milking CoD much like they did with Tony Hawk and Guitar Hero, until it stops selling then thew will jump the shark with something like "Free to Play CoD". They are in it only for the money, and in the meantime they will find something else to replace it, much as Skylanders is raking in tons of cash, it will be only survive as long as it is making tons of dosh.

"Stay On Top"? That is to imply it is on top which, after Black Ops II, is isn't in my book. Battlefield 3 all the way...
