Destructoid- Review: SimCity

DToid:The constant DRM is an annoyance, but the real issue here is the fact that everything is happening online. SimCity has always been a single-player game, and now it's a fully online experience. Nothing is saved locally and when I lose my save game due to online issues it makes me cranky. I was desperately trying to get time in playing this week, not just because I am reviewing it, but also because it seemed like fun. I love games like this. All the time I spent playing on Tuesday was erased because of server issues. After trying to connect for hours this morning, I was shocked to find that my most recent saves were gone, and over six hours of playtime was wiped away. (PC, SimCity) 4/10

I'll buy it when it's like 5-10 bucks... I was really looking forward to this game until I heard about that always online bullcrap. Screw you EA. It went from a pre-order to a bargain bin purchase.

EA already spun this by saying the game is too fun to work properly, but I predict an article will release where they say they have numbers that show that gamers love always online DRM. You heard it here first.
