Five Things Zelda Wii U Should Borrow From Ocarina of Time

GenGAME writes: "There’s a reason The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is often still called the best game of all time, even though it’s now almost 15 years old! And that’s because it accomplished a nearly-perfect balance between all its constituent elements: its gameplay, content, and story. Though more recent games have seen greater sophistication in terms of enemy AI, overworld and dungeon design, and story-telling, none has carved out as enduring a place in the history books as Ocarina of Time." (The Legend of Zelda, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Wii U)

Wouldn't it be better if it was its own unique experience? It's fine if it borrows minor elements, but I'd really like for the series to push forward as oppose to backward.

As for the list, aside from things like horseback riding, I feel it lists a couple of things that any Zelda really should strive to do, particularly the number one choice. Ocarina of Time is not the only attempt at making Zelda the best it can be. Wind Waker was exceptionally ambitious, for example.

I've seen the "unique experiences," and I know enough to say that the more "definitive Zelda experience" games tend to be better.

The only thing I would care about them borrowing from OoT (3DS version at least) is the item management, and map function of the bottom screen. Otherwise I would rather see a completely new title, that shares some similarities from past entries.

I'd like to see Navi return, but this time, you can ask for her help at any point.

When will they return the borrowed things? Why must everyone think they are a f****** journalist?

Wonder boy in monster world did some ocarina stuff really well, like to open doors etc..

speaking of which.. i think it could give Zelda a run for it's money if they brought that series back.

I would like to see voice acting with Link remaining a mute.

I would also like to have a darker story/tone with Twilight Princess' color pallet.

I personally would like the new Zelda to have character models and art style similar the images below. I think an anime look to Zelda would do wonders for the series...

Reading an article like this makes me super excited for the next version of LoZ. Whatever they decide to do, I know it will be an amazing gaming experience. I would like to pre-order, 2 years in advance. Thanks.

Replaying A link to the past just now, forgot how hardcore some of these boss battles were!
I can't wait to see what nintendo will show at e3! Hope it's good.
