How Wind Waker and Red Dead Redemption Informed Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag

Game Informer - While the gut reaction when seeing an Assassin's Creed game set during the golden age of piracy is to assume the team looked to the Pirates of the Caribbean for inspiration, but the team at Ubisoft Montreal is going for a much more grounded approach for Black Flag. With inspirations ranging from classical paintings to Far Cry 3, we spoke to the game's director, writer, and art director about the multi-media fuel that helped build the next Assassin's Creed game. (Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, PC, PS3, PS4, Red Dead Redemption, The Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Wii U, Xbox 360, Xbox One)

Their insight into how they intend on building up the world pretty much gave me a 180 on my opinion of the game, I'm quite intrigued at how they'll design and detail their world.
If it's as lavish as RDR, I'll be absolutely sold.

Damn straight.

I still hate the fact that series was annualized though. I feel Assassin's Creed fatigue.
