The tools and engines available now for PlayStation 4 developers

It looks as if the NDAs for several tool-makers supporting Sony's upcoming PlayStation 4 were lifted today, as our inboxes have been flooded this morning with announcements.

Below are the tools and engines that should be available now for those of you developing on the PlayStation 4. We'll update this story should any other announcements come our way. (Dev, Next-Gen, PS4, Sony, Tech)

Awesome future ahead with these new engines. CANNOT wait for E3. This one is gonna be HUGE I already know it.

I can only laugh when i.read this Most of them are Not engines or a complete programe they are extenstions and plug ins to 3dsmax Maya etc which they will never Run directly on console

lmao! The UE3 and UE4 were also built with extensive use with Maya and 3DSMax
You're not making any kind of sense... These tools are middle based on x86 code and algorithms... So naturally they will work on a console based on an x86 pu architect.

And just to let you know. All of these are available on current generation hardware. For example Speedtree is used in all of Bethesda's fallout and Elder Scrolls games, resistance, Grand theft Auto 4, The Force Unleashed, and countless others.

FaceFX was used on PS3 and Xbox360 in Halo 4, Farcry 3 and Dishonored!

What kind of idiot refutes a list of middleware tools being confirmed for a platform when they already work on the game consoles out now, what's more the developers themselves have made use of these middleware already!

PRO EVOLUTION SOCCER 2014 using Fox engine and few of this physics techs

and I will be pleased as a gamer..

Can't get more excited for ps4 because that will make the wait till e3 very hard

Alot of these engines and SDKs were all available on current gen platforms
And Are used in Many current gen games now, granted the added hardware will give these engines and SDK better results in the end use, but SpeedTree, FaceFX, Morpheme, and Enlighten and And NVidia's PhysX were all present on the PS3 and Xbox360 and to a great extent the Wii and PSVita.

SpeedTree is in all the fallout and Elder Scrolls games, Resistance, GTA4, Dragon's Dogma, Dark Souls, Demon's Souls, Uncharted etc.

FaceFX is used in Halo, Dishonored, Farcry.
enlighten was used in Battlefield 3, Medal of Honor, Tomb Raider Reboot, Dragon Age 3 ect.

the list goes on. Good to see these tools are working on the Next Gen PS, though it was a given.
