"This is still very much the same God of War game as the rest of them on the surface, but there’s also a glimpse of the personable angle seen in the PSP games here, and it’s actually most welcome."
I dont know why the media is out to get GOW when numerous sequels, prequels and reboots get released each month. Nobody complains about Forzas, Halos, Gears of Wars, Marios, Zeldas and Assasins Creeds. This is only the second GOW title this gen and media is going crazy over it.
"Nobody complains about Forzas, Halos, Gears of Wars, Marios, Zeldas and Assasins Creeds." LOL, I like how you left out Uncharted, Resistance, and Ratchet and Clank.
There have only been three uncharted. The last one came in 2011. The series has been on hiatus since then. The same happened with Resistance; it is over now with only three games. The games I mentioned are all still going on or were recently released. I agree with Ratchet and Clank with you after checking the number of games but I have never played even a single game from that franchise so I didn't knew anything about it.
I guess you weren't here when Halo 4 got those numerous 80s and that controversial 1/5 from the website Quartertothree that drop Halo 4's metacritic score quite significantly. It shouldn't matter anyway since 8 is a good score for any game. It signifies that it's a solid title. But of course nowadays games have to get at least a 9 or a 10 before anyone thinks of buying it. Also adding the fact that most people just look at the score and just completely forget about reading the article.
