I remember all the fishing I did while playing Ocarina of Time. That was almost as addictive as the main game

It did take me some time to get used to that. My sister was great at it. I think those aspects are needed in games but the success or failure of a game or mission should not depend upon them.

I have always said MMORPG games should have some form of gambling mini game in them.

I spent more time than was necessary playing dice poker in The Witcher 1 and 2. Just so addictive sometimes.

Anyone remember the game they had in Space Quest? Sierra used to make mini-game gambling a big part of their games. Leisure Suit Larry had the card game as well.
