'Leap'ing into Insomniac Games' Fuse

When first-person shooter Fuse comes out later this Spring for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, developer Insomniac Games hopes gamers will leap at the chance to pick it up. Even if they don't, those who do will be able to literally leap even more in the game itself thanks to a newly-revealed feature to the game called, appropriately, "Leap". (Fuse, PS3, Xbox 360)

I'm still concerned Fuse will be just another generic shooter, but at least the devs seems to be trying something different with this Leap mechanic.

First thing I noticed was FPS... its a TPS ;) But since its a real news outlet guess I'll be more forgiving.

Leap in itself is only "new" in the sense its a rarely used mechanic in shooters. All it really seems to be is a character switch mechanic with a new name (ARPGs beat'em ups like Xmen, Marvel, etc have had the feature for practically forever at this point). I still like the idea though as might add a bit more tactical options compared to say a more standard TPS (but less than a true squad based tactical shooter). Other than that I just like the idea of more coop games and Fuse just sounds like its probably more fun with friends at this point.

I'm still not sold but Fuse could be fun, I just thinks it looks less unique compared to many Insomniac titles.
