I got to say this gent is very vocal considering its something he says he doesn't care about.

As far as AC3 is concerned no Conner isn't a character that's easily likeable but then most of the way through 2 I thought much the same about Ezio I knew a Navajo Gentleman a long time ago and he was very much the same you had to want to like him in order to like him but there was very little to like about him. And no the story didn't sparkle like brotherhood did which in my opinion is the best of the 2's the 1 thing that really did annoy me in 3 where the menus particularly the crafting menu and the one for putting together the convoys they were terrible but overall I thought it was a solid 7.

as for the development/release cycle so ok they come out every year but that doesn't mean they take a year to make the folk who work on the design of the cities are more than likely doing that almost constantly with a bit of vacation in between each one. I read somewhere the other day that by the time it comes out ACIV:BF will have been in development for 2.5 years

i mean, really, how often can you sell the same game on a yearly basis without even the dumbest customer thinking "hum?"

Think I spotted it about 30 minutes into AC2. Insert an assassin into the timeline between AC1 date/time <> current date and you have another game.

They can basically spank the franchise infinitely as a result. If they ever reach present day they can do a Metal Gear special and keep revisiting random parts of the timeline and make an entire game out of them. *yawn*

Ac and cod = the next rock band and guitar hero.
Two of the most milked franchises in recent memory.

It's kinda like the apple and Samsung of gaming.
Seriously, this will be what, the 6th or 7th ac game in like just 5 years?

No problem, let Activision and Ubisoft oversaturate themselves into nothingness, no one will really miss them, all the talented developers working there will find jobs elsewhere in the industry and we all live happily ever after.

You know there are eight studios working on AC4? 8!

There is no way a game developed with that mentality would have "soul". This is just anoher money grabbing side-product and it deserves no further attention.
