Share: Ustream CEO Talks PS4, The Future of Video and the Blurring of Reality

Ustream is coming to the PS4 in a big way, being deeply integrated into the console’s OS, allowing players to share their games, interact and watch. To find out everything there was to know about the partnership with Sony, how sharing is changing entertainment forever and what the future of video broadcasting holds, we talked to CEO Brad Hunstable in a wide ranging exclusive interview.

Wow, very thorough interview.

Sharing is like Nickelback. Nobody seems to enjoy it, or admit that they like it, and everyone complains about it but somehow it's still around and just seems to be getting bigger despite the mass "hatred" for it.

Who in the Blue HEll is this Nickelback you speak of?

"How the hell'd we wind up like this? why weren't we able to see the signs that we missed and try and turn the tables?"

Thank God that the above passage does not apply to the PS4, as it seems that Sony is correcting even the tiniest of mistakes it made with PS3 this time around.

Go to twitch.tv and then imagine that for all PS4 users.

I follow people on Twitter and on Twitch who hold sports and fighitng game leagues and tournaments. People in the league and not in the league can live spectate during a league game and chat about it. It's a really awesome idea.

People watch speedruns of their favorite games, help friends on a part they're stuck on in a game, check out a game they're not entirely sold on and watch their friend play to see if they still want to buy it...there's alot of reasons that streaming gameplay is a huge feature.

Well of course u lack the imagination to see it's potential, YOU didn't even have enough of an imagination to pick out a decent avatar pic.

On topic: Tournaments, humiliating loudmouths, keeping an online community alive for years, etc are exactly the great things it will bring for those who enjoy playing online. Plus, it can provide gaming guides/tutorials for struggling gamer's.

Use your brain. And especially try reading article before you make a clown of yourself again.

Nah your the dumb one. Based on your logic, anybody who says "whats the point" or dont see the point" automatically lacks imagination. Way to go idiot.

like I said in another thread about this topic. Good for others but the feature is not for me.

And finally, My default avatar is the best avatar.

Much respect to you for keeping up with your contributions to this site. Bubble to you.

Wow one of the best interviews I have read on gaming in while. Playstationlifestlye is starting to become the best new site this gen. Hopefully they keep away from flamebait titles and articles.

The feature i'm more excited about Ustream is the ability to broadcast your playthrough with friends.

This will bring the much needed death of biased reviews. No need for people to visit 1UP and the likes when they can experience the games first hand.
