Watch Dogs: 3 Reasons It’ll Be Better Than GTA 5

"Ubisoft have been on a decent roll this past year. Far Cry 3 ended 2012 with a big bang whilst Assassin’s Creed 3 was still a decent game. Now they’ve announced Assassin’s Creed 4, which looks REALLY interesting." | Explosion.com

could be....Watch Dogs looks awesome!

mcstorm4061d ago

I think this game looks amazing. As I've said before on here im not a fan of the gta games. I don't know why I just can't get into them. I also tried red dead and could not get into that but so far this game and the new Lego city look like they could be the two games like gta style that do it for me. Can't wait to get them both this year.

NewMonday4061d ago

and here I thought one of the reasons was he played a bit of the 2 games and he came to the conclusion afterwards , how foolish of me.

HammadTheBeast4061d ago

I think they're completely different games, and this comparison sucks.

mcstorm4061d ago

I love how I get 3 Disagrees for saying this game looks amazing. Just because I don't like GTA dose not mean im a hater people it just means I don't like the game just like how I don't like Lost Planet or Resident Evil 5 and 6.

Abdou234061d ago (Edited 4061d ago )

I think GTA 5 is overrated, series hasn't advanced a bit, it needed some rpg elements, some business and buying shops involved, recruiting members and sending them on missions.

Instead it's the same 13 years old game with some tweaks.

Derekvinyard134061d ago

Did u play San Andreas? It has all of that

imtheman20134061d ago

You just described Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood...

GTA 5 is advancing; three playable characters with interconnected story lines. New, heist style missions. Plus, knowing Rockstar, that'll be just the tip of the iceberg for this GTA. Say what you want about Rockstar and GTA, but they know how to make a fun game, and it is definitely advancing.

PopRocks3594061d ago

"I think GTA 5 is overrated"

The game is not out yet, therefor you have not played it so how can you determine whether or not it's overrated?

Clarence4061d ago

If they make gta 5 like San Andreas/ Red Dead Revolver it's a wrap. Watch Dogs looks great with all the gadgets you can use. I think what sets GTA series a part from everything else is you can just dive in and start doing crazy things.

The music is great and every GTA game has crazy characters to interact with.
Watchdogs might be to technical for some.

I hope it'll be as great as we think! ubisoft is kind of uneven when it comes to the quality their open world titles, they range from rubbish to great.

solidt124061d ago

Watch Dogs 4 will be even better!! you just wait and see I tell you.

007Bond4061d ago

NO GTA is consistently amazing, Watch dogs is being way over hyped.

:O
BLASPHEMERS!!!!

I wish Watch Dogs the best and it does look awesome but GTA is also Godzilla.

It's all going to depend on the story mood. Does the protagonist have an interesting story - to guide you in the open world?

Watch Dogs does look King Kong... but some people see Godzilla, Win and some people see King Kong, Win.

(Ref. two the Black and White Classic with 2 different endings. One for US and one for Japan).

360ICE4061d ago

Not sure why, but far more psyched about GTAV. Even though it's a brand new IP, I feel like I've seen Watch Dogs before...

josephayal4061d ago

watch dogs is way ahead of gta v

NYC_Gamer4061d ago

I'm not gonna say what game is better until play them both

Cost of realistic looking movement.

Rockstar need to learn that 12 years of work and 5000 employees doesn’t account for one persons opinion on the internet…

Profchaos36d ago (Edited 36d ago )

Oh and hundreds of millions of dollars in revanue to boot.

Lots of complaints about gta ever since the hd era started and yet it's bugger than its ever been with gta vi up to 180 million trailer views alone. The next game is shaping it be be another genre defining game

MetalGearsofWar35d ago

They already learned they dont have to actually make a great game

sagapo36d ago

The controls of RDR2 felt a but cluncky indeed, but it’s not as bad as some make it out to be. At no point did I get the feeling my experience with the game was held back or ruined by the controls.
But it can never hurt to optimize them a bit, sure.

Zhipp35d ago (Edited 35d ago )

I did accidentally beat someone to death a couple times. An unfortunate mistake but besides that I didn't have any problems with the controlls

jznrpg36d ago

Red Dead Redemption felt clunky at first but I got used to it fairly quick. I thought 2 was easier to control but it could be my experience with the first game helped me out. Great games

Profchaos36d ago

I wouldn't call Rockstar games characters clunky instead they feel like they move with Weight they are not twitch controls press x to instantly snap onto cover the characters instead move like a actor would ducking behind cover they are exposed while they get there.
