Electronic Arts is considering adding more sports franchises to its already bulging portfolio.
"EA Sports currently publishes games for several popular sports, including the likes of football, hockey and basketball." What?!?! I am sure EA cancelled NBA Live and haven't brought it out for 3-5 years, even if they do bring it back, 2K is going to beat EA in the basketball series.
NBA Live 13 was cancelled but EA still holds the license. They're also promising an NBA Live game for 2014 so we'll see how that pans out.
Chess club 2014! Or MLG 2014!
They always play the NBA 2K demo and say damn our game can't beat this and drop the game. Its not their fault. They will try every year.
EA get back doing rugby union games... miss those days
Great until the micro-transaction's start in about the third instalment of the game .
At least the 'improved AI and up to date roster' is included in the copy+paste game they previously released.
Pay ten bucks to unlock the second inning! I'm glad I'm not a fan of most recent AAA games. If I was, I'd be pretty angry about being fleeced at every turn, like some sort of sheep with regenerative powers.
We could pay off the refs in a game of Madden maybe.:) Think outside the box EA.
Hey EA, how about a next gen ssx for the ps4 launch this year? One that's more closely related to the ps2 games years ago. Fireworks, painted snow, killer soundtrack, the whole nine!
In fairness to SSX 2012, it still had a 'killer soundtrack'. I'm still hoping that EA release a SSX Vita....
Maybe we finally see a NFL Scouting Combine franchise to fill the huge void between NCAA and Madden or a Jose Canseco's Bum Fights series. Seriously though I could see a reboot of Lee Carvallo's Putting Challenge and a NBA D-League game released tri-annually.
Australian Football. Australian Football. Australian Football.
Reboot the Rugby franchise using the Fifa engine! It's already got dynamic collisions, which would suit it perfectly!
Did you forget about the hugging and kissing glitch, now picture it in rugby........ Its gay orgy
I remember reading somewhere once that Rugby is the hardest sport to successfully translate to a videogame. I don't think I've ever played a good one.
Jonah Lomu Rugby on the PS One was a classic and Rugby 06 on PS2 was pretty decent. Rugby Challenge (ps3/360) was alright but flawed. If EA invested a bit of time & effort, then they could make a top-notch rugby game.
EA killed college hoops and now they don't make a BB game.
I'm jus waitin on the NFL license to be up with EA so 2K can get back in the football game man. I'm sick of Madden every year, and its robotic ass movement.
I would like a PBA Bowling game. That is one sport that videogames could never properly recreate.
how about focusing on getting Madden up to 2k5's level
why add more when they already half ass the ones they have. o ya, money
I only like Boxing & NBA Live from EA. But I Miss NFL 2K!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
