EA exploring Oculus Rift support for 'Battlefield 4' and 'Dragon Age III' engine

The Verge - After a wave of early demonstrations, the first Oculus Rift developer kits are going out, and the question of how the Rift will be used for real-life games is becoming more important. Over at MTBS3D, a forum member unearthed an EA request for a student researcher to look into "VR technology in games," with specific mention of the Oculus Rift. (Battlefield 4, Dragon Age 3: Inquisition, EA, Frostbite 3.0, Industry, PC, PS4, Xbox One)

It looks it could be a long wait. Sony didnt even mention 3d support on PS4 presentation and Rift's developers said that they _may_ add consoles support in the future.

Would be nice if it worked on all platforms.

Why is Frostbite 3.0 tagged when BF4 and DA3 are using Frostbite 2.0? There's no such thing as Frostbite 3.0 yet.

First those games need to run in 60fps to consider oculus rift.

Apparently they will if they consider support for OR.

Micro Transaction out the A hole as well...

BF4 you get a sling shot and pocket full of rocks...
- Buy a hand gun only 99 cents

- buy bullets for that hand gun only 1 cent a bullet

Dragon age you start off with a map a blank map... more like a piece of paper...

- you can buy a location only 14 cents.

- Also featuring a stick of honour with point only 75 cents.

Why cause gamers and consumers have embraced micro transaction and from now on all EA games will feature micro transaction because gamers want to give us more money after they have payed full price for the game....
