PushStartPlay Game Preview: BioShock Infinite [XBOX 360/PS3/PC]

BioShock Infinite springs open a whole other world, with political corruption, brutal powers, travelling through the sky and not forgetting a mechanical George Washington! If that alone doesn’t sell it to you, then you better keep reading… When looking at BioShock Infinite it’s easy to see that Bioshock has changed and we will no longer be in Rapture. The world is different; it’s more open, more colourful, more vibrant and alive. During our demo session, we started to sail towards a light house. Sound familiar? However, this lighthouse had something even more mysterious about it. As we climbed the stairs and reached the top, we took a moment to look around and take in our surroundings. Suddenly, a red mist over the ocean crept up on us as we banged on some bells to open a door. This is where the real adventure begun! We sat in this peculiar looking chair, and headed off to the sky. (BioShock: Infinite, PC, PS3, Xbox 360)

The week of the 24th to the 31st is shaping up to be the best week I have had in a long time. First, on Monday night the spiritual successor to my all time favorite game releases. I never but collector's editions, but this time i did. I have Tuesdays and Wednesdays off which will giveme time to delve into the world of Bioshock Infinite. Everything I have read and seen about this game simply looks stunning. IMO, no one creates a better all around game than Irrational. Its is simply...perfect and i expect nothing short of sheer bliss and wonder when making my first trip to Columbia.

Then, just a few days later begins the 3rd season of one of my all time favorite TV shows, Game of Thrones. I have had to force myself not to buy the books so that i could remain clueless and hopeful when watching the show that has utterly captivated me thus far. I have read the first book and will continue staying just short of its counterpart.

So, i count down three weeks from last night til that glorious week is upon me. Now, i jus have to determine whether i do it as Lara Croft or Kratos. I am leaning Kratos simply because i may not have time to finish Tomb Raider. With Ascension, i can finish the sp and come back to mp layer. Because no matter what i am doing at midnight on the 26th, Bioshock Infinite will take precedence over all else.
