We take a closer look at Mark Cerny's intriguing PlayStation 4 adventure
this is the game that intrigues me the most out of sony's 1st party PS4 games.
sony just has it all no joke
It's being developed by the guy who's building the PS4. That alone has me sold.
Since its being developed by Mark Cerny, I bet it will take full advantage of all the features on the PS4 and It will probably use the touch pad on the controller in some way.
Which mean the game will be showcase ever ps4 feature ingame.
Variety is king! I'll definitely give Knack a chance at launch. You never know, it just may become the Crash/Jak of the next gen.
Big fan of Crash, Ratchet and Jak games. This reminds of those games and Mark Cerny said he wanted to capture the fun of PS1 platformers so this is a must for me.
Couldn't have said it any better, this game looks awesome. I can't wait to see more hoping e3 they will have more gameplay
Mark Cerny is one hell of an impressive game designer! O_O Knack reminds of the things i imagined as a kid. I will most likely be buying this with my ps4. Besides, its also a SCEJ product, love their games!
This might be the game that crash bandicoot was to ps1.
System feature shower. You guys can't really want to play this that bad. I love Sony but Cmon.
I hate Sony but can appreciate an interesting title. This was not an interesting title.
never looed that deep into the game, but that sounds interesting. Hope there is destruction in the ae for when you get skyscrapper size so you can destroy cities.
Knack kinda reminds me of the old Bionicle games, just a little bit. I loved those games! it's just Nostalgia Republic, reminding you of Crash, Ratchet and Clank etc. it has 90+ Metacritic score written all over it. argh Sony, I just want my PS4 with Knack and inFamous: Second Son. I felt nothing for the PS3 until I saw Versus XIII, such a change.
No surprise there; if you know what you are looking for. I think it has the potential to become one of the big heroes like Jak & Dexter or Ratchet & Clank, etc. I was impressed by the physics in the demo and this confirms what I was guessing. I probably wouldn't get a PS4 for this game, but I would get this game for the PS4 ;)
This for me is a day one purchase. I support almost all exclusive ips by Sony and its not because of a brand loyalty but because i just play them more than anything and enjoy them so so much. \ My ps3 is rarely used for multiplats. I stopped buying Assn Creed because i hate it and bought Farcry 3 and played it for like 7 hours before never going back. They are just so boring, repetitive and the missions and submissions are just so monotonous. What games get the most play on my ps3? I still play Uc3 mp, Starhawk, All Star Battle Royale, Demon souls, Ni No Kuni and the only multiplat that really gets alot of my time is Dark souls both pushing 100 plus hours...... I got Mlb The show 13 yesterday and as all MLBs it is awesome!!!! So that will get alot of my time as well. Yes im one of those rare breed that enjoys exclsive ips more than multiplat ones.... Oh and yes i do play COD so that is another multiplat that gets some of my time but ive played Ni NO Kuni way more hours than COD. Knack looks really fun and i cant wait to play it.
I'm liking the game on paper but the trailer was just lacking for me.
The trailer was just a teaser really. I'm hoping we get to see a lot more of it at E3.
I wasn't crazy about this on first showing, I think partly because it was the first thing shown at the conference and I was really wanting to see some kind of impressive super realistic graphical spectacle. Now I can judge it without so much bias I am honestly really liking the look of it. I hope it's more Jak and Daxter than Crash Bandicoot though. Not an insult to Crash, I just mean the Vita remote gameplay made it look a little linear and confined like the early Crash Bandicoot games. I hope that was just down to it being an early level where Knack is still small. I hope once he grows a little more th game opens up a little like Jak and Daxter or at least Ratchet and Clank.
This is exactly how I felt. The Sony conference was great, but I don't think Knack was the right choice to be the first official ps4 title to be shown. Definitely intrigued now.
Its a pretty big risk introducing a new IP as a launch title. Hopefully Cerny does a great job with this game because its been a while since we had an excellent 3D platformer. Looks like a pixar movie though which is fantastic.
