Gears of War: Judgment Has Second Unlockable Campaign

Epic Games and People Can Fly has revealed that Gears of War: Judgment will have a second unlockable campaign called "Aftermath" that will tell story of an event from Gears of War 3. Remember nearing the end of Gears 3 when Marcus sent Baird and Cole to recon for reinforcements, while him and Dom went off to Azura, Aftermath tells the unseen events that took place on Baird and Cole's mission. (Gears of War Judgment, Xbox 360)

Is there a DLC?

It's on the disc and it's not DLC, you unlock it by playing through the Judgment campaign and earning stars by compelting tasks. It's totally free, and just adds a nice little piece of closure to a mystery in Gears 3.

More of a chapter really...

It's what happened in Gears 3, so you can access the bonus chapter of what happened when Baird and Cole went to go get help. So they bridge the games together a bit more.

It's a really neat concept. Also, there is no reason for anyone to complain about this game any more. If they followed the stories and videos on this, they would have realised a lot has changed.

Campaign with declassified extra challenges.
Extra unlockable campaign.
Smart spawn system.
Overrun. FFA. Survival. Domination. New characters and weapons. New game-play options. Classed based multi-player modes.

All while improving the lighting tech and other engine effects. Does more than a lot of sequels these days. Can't blame people for thinking it 'looks' the same as Gears 3 though.

The only people really complaining are people without Xbox 360's and the ones that act as if people who own and play Xbox 360's should be upset that Microsoft gives us the games we bought a 360 for in the first place.

I loved what I saw at the reveal the other day, I've been begging for a Domination game mode since Gears 1. Gears 3 was awesome, but I thought they left out Baird's story, and now I know why.

Cant wait to get this game.

I'm a hugeee gear of war fan, and for the most part i agree with this.

My only problem is with the lack of new monsters and just more epic things in the campaign. Of course this is only judging from what they've shown, but usually new additions like the ones i want are shown beforehand to promote the game.

I've just been feeling iffy with the extreme focus on overrun and multiplayer, where the campaign has just shown the "khan" dude with his spider thing, and that's about it. I wanted the scale to go up how it changed from gears 1 to 2.

@BanBrother,
I agree!

@Jek_Porkins,
I agree also, but. I'm a massive Gears fan, in fact, Iver beaten all 3 Gears games again just to prepare for Judgment. Ive also beaten each game on Insane Mode.

My disappointment is the dont Hoard Mode!! The changed it to Survival Mode of 10 stages. I liked that 50 stage deal with the weaker stages form 1 thru 4 or 5 then it gets killer to the 10th stage.

Yet I'm excited and will buy 2 copies for the campaign co-op & other co-op features to play with my kids on separate consoles.

"The only people really complaining are people without Xbox 360's"

That's right, because it's impossible for someone to own a 360 and not be pleased.

Kudos to them for not charging for it

Due to the awesome story of gears, they had to put closure for some things in Gears3.

I forgot that games used to unlock different features when you finish them.
