Gearbox would be in this same position if they didn't have Borderlands

This sucks, how many people ate gonna lose there jobs

Hellsvacancy1304d ago (Edited 1304d ago )

I feel sorry for them, honestly I do, they made a crap game that Gearbox promoted to be an awesome game

Hopefully theyll find new jobs soon, I didnt mind the Section 8 games, theyre quite fun to play, not as fun as Bad Company 2, but still fun

Edit: Chrono, agreed, Section 8 had loads of options, bots etc, It was quite a chaotic game to begin with, but like you said, the player count dropped very quickly, I didnt really bother with the sp, I played a chapter or two, it wasnt what I bought it for anyway

I actually loved the Section 8 games.

They have really good MP mechanics, not enough people bought them. The SP kinda sucked though.

Section 8 were pretty good games, but it seems like devs just didn't listen to the community much. Their first mistake was to host the PC game through Microsoft Live, what a dumb ass move, that pretty much killed the game right there.

Also the crap where you auto lock on people for few seconds. Yeah stuff like that is not cool in computer games, it game nothing to the gameplay.

Good games, but just dumb decisions on the part of the devs got the games killed. Too bad.

Looks like Gearbox screwed everyone one else in this deal. I love Borderlands but this is pathetic. They've lost a lot of respect over this and deservedly so.
