Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance - Daily Joystick Podcasts

Ian from DJ Podcasts writes "2013 is the year that Platinum Games & Kojima Productions finally brings us the first ever multi platform Metal Gear game outside of the Playstation, featuring none other than the original naked “snake” himself: Jack “Lightening Bolt” Raiden. With a hack and slash on-rails twist, does this series spin off rise as high as it could, or fall so much further?" (Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, PS3, Xbox 360) 7.5/10

My friend on PSN beat this game in 2 measly nights -_-. He's pissed now because he paid a full $60 for this. When the hell is MGS Ground Zeroes coming out? Hopeefully the open world nature of it makes it longer. Plus some MGO would more than make the $60 tag worth it.

My only problems with the game so far is, I keep getting pulled out of the action every 5 minuets for a cutscene or a brief chat on the codec...

I know it's a MG game but it's hard getting immersed in the combat when it's so brief, intermittent and broken by cutscenes and chatter that could be going on in the background.

Your friend must really hate replay value then. These games are always short, just like all of the MG games are short as well.

Deserves? Repetitive combat that lacks depth, and the last chapter is blasphemey to the MGS style of story telling we all know and love. Your entitled to your opinion, but MGR deserves to be a better game.
