Today whilst reading through some video game news and articles Game-Modo's Richard came across an article that smelt a bit fishy. This particular article has made the gaming communities on the internet go slightly thermo-nuclear over something that in his opinion is not true. So what exactly is this article? Well Calvin Hall (an unknown blogger) claimed that he had a chat with a so called Activision employee at this years D.I.C.E summit.
Usually when Game-Modo's Richard come's across these kinds of articles he puts on his Sherlock homes outfit and goes investigating, then tries and finds out the truth or the nonsense they are claiming. Well Calvin Hall are you spouting the truth or not? Come check out Richards findings and thoughts.
Either way, this Calvin character should do more "reporting", it amuses me.
Actually Wii U owners should be mad that they have the most unplayable version of the game.
"The Wii U version matches the look of the Xbox 360 game and thus gives it an edge visually over the PlayStation 3 release, but unfortunately it comes up well short in terms of performance - an aspect that is all-important to the playability of a COD title. The frame-rate variance is such that the PS3 game feels generally smoother, while the 360 release feels like an entirely different game in the more demanding levels. Bearing in mind the commonalities in hardware design between Wii U and Xbox 360, we can't help but feel somewhat disappointed that Black Ops 2 under-performs so noticeably."

Seriously if Wii U owners like yourself are going to accept poor ports as the " the better version of the game" then you will just give the developers an incentive to spend less time optimizing the game on the console.
You know what this reminds me of? The Bayonetta scandal on the PS3. PS3 fans complained about the port so much that Platinum games made sure that there next game would be optimized correctly for Sonys console. And the result of that is Vanquish a high speed aciton packed scifi 3rd person shooter thats a blast to play.
" If you own both machines and are wondering which to buy, it's a tough one to call overall but in my view, the v-sync implementation has to give the PS3 version the edge."

""The biggest failure for Platinum so far, the one that really sticks in my mind, is that [Bayonetta] port," lamented Inaba."

In conclusion, by complaining to the developers about a poor Wii U port you will give them lots of incentive to do a better job with the next game that they make for it. This is what Wii U owners should do instead of accepting terrible ports as " the better version of the game" when it isnt.
That's not what I call a "poor" or "terrible" port so much as an adequate one. So don't exaggerate.
Instead of copying and pasting other peoples opinions, why don't you play the game and make up your own mind instead of letting others do it for you.
I have BLOPS II on both Xbox and Wii u and the Wii u version looks and plays fine. In fact I've stopped playing it on the xbox so I guess I prefer the wii u version.
In addition, the article that you've posted on isn't about Activision or BLOPS, but about the crap people make up from so called sources who can't be named. Lets face it, that's half the rubbish being posted on N4G nowadays. That and the '5 reasons why/how/etc'... garbage posts.
In conclusion, stop preaching to wii u owners about what they should or should not do, because most are probably happy with their console. If you don't like a game or a console, don't buy it, pure and simple. No one is holding a gun to your head saying you must buy this or that. Developers and publishers care about money, because unlike opinions, money is worth something to them. That's what a free market is about, being free to put your money where your mouth is.
So you're disappointed with your wii u purchase. I knew exactly what I was buying before I laid down my hard earned cash, so I have no complaints on the technical side. Or maybe I'm wrong and you haven't bought one but feel that you can complain and preach about it. That's ok as there seems to be plenty here with the same view.
Cod rip
Activision is mostly begiled on N4G and yet when they call out Nintendo fans and say they're all talk for not buying CoD BLOPS 2 (another object of scorn here) the fanboys of the other console(s) stand behind Activision and lambast Wii U owners.
How can we call CoD fans brainless sheep and then turn around and toss insults at Wii U owners for not buying a CoD game by the millions?
Make up your minds people. And don't you dare come here and say it isn't necessarily the same people because it is, that story didn't get hot from 3 or 4 extreme fanboys, it was all of you.
Yeah.. no. You can't make that claim. If it is the same people you should have no problem pointing them out. I agree with your first sentence though, hence why your comments contain a lot of it.
Welcome to the internet.
I'm not sure what IP's you prefer, but I think it would be disingenuous to say that those are all we care about. I play ME, RE, COD, Resistance, Dead Space, Halo, Gears, Drake, Crysis, they're all good, but they're all strikingly similar.
Activision didn't make money on "Boom Blox"... until they marketed the game.
Then they sabotaged the sequel with the title: "Block Party!", still one of the best games out there.
It's your adamant mentality of great graphics that leave gameplay to sacrifice.
Do we really need 6 Assassin's Creed games in 6 years? I mean, that's not even counting "Prince of Persia" which is the same game.
We're perpetuating a downfall in this industry, and there's plenty of blame to go around.
Really you can thank "Goldeneye" for every shooter since. And where's Rare at now? On the heels of Microsoft figureheads. There's some science for ya
