1UP has Reached Its End

Today, Ziff-Davis announced that as part of a restructuring of its new property IGN Entertainment, three of IGN's smaller secondary sites -- namely, 1UP.com, Gamespy.com, and UGO.com -- would be "winding down." As is often the case with such reorganizations, some of 1UP's staff was laid off while others will be moving over to work as contributors at IGN.com. No timeline was given for 1UP's closure or if its servers would continue to run indefinitely.

Hopefully next-gen equals better "GAMING" journalist because this-gen they were complete assholes. Never heard of the words fanboy until this-gen. And what is funny is too me that so many Xbox sites forgot they once owned an PS & Nintendo..

I don't know if they became bias because of the money. During my gaming history I have owned an SNES, Atari, Sega Genesis, Sega Saturn, Sega Dreamcast, N64, PS combo, PS2, and PS3 not including handhelds and prototypes..

I didn't call my friends names because they didn't own an certain console. I just gave them a controller and asked what console you wanted too play? Maybe this is wishful thinking but hopefully we have an more mature gen coming soon....

So after posting crap article 'Can PS4 restore our lost love for sony?', this site is officially going down. Well...it's sad to see people lost their job. Not even one of us want to be in their shoes right now. But it can't be help if you only making crap & flamebait articles day after day. Hopefully, the other gaming sites learnt from 1up mistakes and open their eyes that video game is about fun and making new friends. Not calling people fanboy and hatred just because they like different consoles.
