7 Cancelled Games That Could Have Been Great

Making video games is suppose to be easy. That is in the minds of those outside the industry who know nothing about the process. Developers struggle with planning and building virtual worlds and characters before they can meet the needs of the audience. Budgets can be tight and timing can be crucial. There is also the challenge of presenting these builds to an audience that may not accept them. And if even one miscalculation is made, it could all come crumbling down. Hence, a cancelled game.

It is understandable that not every video game makes it to shelves and there have been countless cancelled games to list. The real question however, is which of those games had the potential of being hits if ever completed. In this post, we will go through a selection of 7 Cancelled Games That Could Have Been Great… (Culture, Industry, PC, Pirates of the Caribbean: Armada of the Damned, PS3, Xbox 360)

Eight Days and The Getaway 3 spring to mind.

Starcraft Ghost was never cancelled. Blizzard spoke directly about this. They said the game is on hiatus, not cancelled. They bought the second studio that was working on the game and said after Diablo III they would revisit it but it wasn't on the list of known and unknown cancelled Blizzard projects shown at Blizzcon.

That article was put together horribly. I had to look all over to even find the links to the games. Talk about flawed gaming. At least make it easy to click for the next page when you want people to give you lots of clicks.
