Analysis: Can Ubisoft win back the PC crowd?

I'd like to see a streamlining of the double-sign-in crap that they'll have. I remember jumping through numerous hoops with one of my Games for Windows titles and it was both frustrating and demoralizing - when I was done setting up, I didn't want to play anymore...

if they actually put in great effort when it comes to releasing games day one on pc and consoles than yes.

also FarCry 3 looked so much better on a PC, as long as they take advantage of PC specs than i believe PC gamers will have no problem supporting their games

Can't say I was too impressed by the broken geometry, floating grass, Dumb AI, and the fact that I can't run on a flat surface for a extended amount of time with Brody spazzing out and not knowing if it he wants to put his gun away or not (That glitch where your running and your gun drops offscreen then pops back up).

You obviously don't realize the numbers that PC gamers are putting up. People don't seem to realize that PC gamer numbers are rising like crazy.

I've built more PC gaming rigs for my personal customers in 2012 than in the previous 3 years put together. I've seen the growth first hand!

Why do you think EA & Ubisoft are trying to entice PC gamers with their pitiful Steam clones? They know the deal, they know Valve is making a bundle because of Steams popularity!

GFWL was garbage. Uplay isn't that bad, aside from having to click play twice.

I draw the line at "always online" DRM.

Ubi is coming along, so long as stop calling their customers criminals and using draconian DRM that only hurts paying customers, I have hope for them.

Its kind of strange but over the last couple years Square Enix has been quite good to the PC, their ports are almost always well polished. Ubi could learn a thing or two from them.

Eliminate the DRM and find a way to give more value to their PC games (optimization for modern PC hardware would probably suffice). That's pretty much all they have to do.

Optimization, no DRM and features like DX11 lighting, tesselation, 2k or 4k textures. That would suffice.

from what i know PC gets the best version when it comes to graphics but i think PS3 gets the better content ( AC3 and FC3 )

the only games i play on ma ps3 and xbox 360 are arcade games..and exclusive content.

my brother who is a PC gamer has told me that both the assassin's creed 3 and far cry 3 ports are great also the fact both times watch dogs was shown it was running on the PC shows that ubisoft is actually starting care about the PC

The only reason FC3 & AC3 are good is because of the modding community that mods the crap out of those game, the texture packs that the modders made are what makes them look so good! Ubi created an ok ports and the modders made them much better.

I have a bunch of ubisoft games on PC and i've always been happy with them.
