Why Black Ops 2 Is The Best Shooter Out Right Now

Since the first release of the Black Ops title it has had more success with longevity and player satisfaction. So Paul Ireson, wanted to figure out what factors other than the zombies that are driving this title to be more popular with himself and other players. While Black Ops 2 not enjoying the highest sales figures of the Call Of Duty franchise, over time Black Ops 2 always seems to pull out a shinier more polished better looking and playing game. CoD needs a new engine and less arcadey gameplay mechanics if it wants to keep the spotlight.

Black Ops 2 is a good multiplayer game but there´s many inconsistencies in it.

The bad thing about it now is how far Activision is pushing the "MAKE EVERYTHING FAST AND EXPLODEY BECAUSE KIDS LIKE IT" mentality, which is killing the whole franchise. For me, CoD died after MW2.

Why does it have to give up the arcadey feel? It bay need some more innovation, but that arcadey feel is what makes CoD what it is.

Spot on. Theres just so much more to do in bf , though buying map packs should be boycotted even though I did it .... Hard to call bf a pure shooter tho its almost a war simulator...

I used to HATE BO2, but after the latest patch I've found it much more enjoyable. Is it the best shooter out right now? No! I still spend more of my time on Halo 4, but it is finally starting to be playable...a mere 4 months after its launch.

The hit detection was just awful, the lag and host issues seemed to get worse and worse. Most of the guns did little to no damage, and they messed up the points it took to get killstreaks.

Yup jek.p is right, you watched the killcams and youd see your character just run around a corner without firing and get shot .... Meanwhile you had emptied a whole clip

yes because lag, bugs, copy and paste of a 5 year old game, and absolutely no changes or anything to challenge = the best

I love the tight controls but would like some bigger maps. Otherwise, they seem to keep the innovation going.

I honestly don't see how people think CoD has "tight controls". I hate them. I mean, for example, why does the "crouch/prone" button have to be circle (or the Xbox equivilant)? You have to completely take your thumb of the analog to reach it; it's just really uncomfortable. As for how the game controls physically, it's far too arcade-like and 2-dimensional.

I was literally meaning the response, etc. The layout of the buttons is fine (I also think Battlefield has fine button layout). I just like how responsive CoD handles.

The connection in BO2 is just atrocious. Stopped playing after two months, it's so ridiculous !

Even with all the bullsh*t MW1, MW2 and MW3 had. The connection is stable and I never had problems, even at the time where my internet was poor and always had one bar.

I stopped playing BO2 after 2 months to be honest. I just don't care for it. Too inconsistent and something about it just screws me up. However, I'm looking forward to MW4, if only because I was a consistent powerhouse on that game while never staying in one area for very long.

Anyways, the CoD series as a whole reigns king only because of its smooth frame rate and casual player-friendliness. Easy to learn and quick matches.

Its not the best shooter out. Its a very good shooter but bf3 is the best. its the best arcade shooter. Bf3 is the best overall. theres mor to do on bf3 more guns vehicles to drive, buildings to blow up if the enemy is hiding. reviving team mates giving ammo sound effects r better its just a complete shooter. cod is fun dont get me wrong ive bought my copies of black ops and warfares there easy to pick up and play but over all bf3 is the complete shooter.

The lag in this game is far worst than any CoD to date.

There's also the issue of stats randomly resetting and persistent data corruption.

Pistols or overpowered
The Peacemaker is overpowered
The starter shotgun is fine but the hit box is broken
Still with the quick/drag scoping? Still?
Prestige awards not triggering
Mastery call signs not unlocking...

The list goes on. You'd have to get rid of BF3, KZ3, and Halo 4 for Black Ops 2 to be the best.

Add dedicated servers, fix the spawns, add true weapon balance & remove things like Quick scoping and drop shotting and we just might have a true winner here.

This is hands down the worst cod yet, short campain,and the worst online multiplayer of ANY game I have played in a while. Unless you like, lag, game freezing, console lockup and constant host migrations.
I'm not the only one unhappy with this game. Check out Metacritic....user score average is 4.4 out of 1452 ppl.
