Something you may or may not have noticed in our ‘Next Week on the NA PSN‘ post yesterday is that we listed the End Game DLC for Battlefield 3 Premium members. Since EA hadn’t previously announced a date for End Game, just ‘March 2013‘, we decided to reach out to them for confirmation.

Well guess what? they would have made more money if they just made the DLC free.... Yeah, all 5 of those DLC's "FREE"
Why? Because think about this, if I have Battlefield and Free DLC is coming out every month, guess what I don't sell my Game... (so how does that make money)
Well most people bought the game played it and then knew they were not going to buy DLC so they sold it once they got bored.. -But if DLC was free they would have kept the game because they would want to play the DLC...
So if your game sells 8 million copies, 2 to 3 million go back into the retail market as a used game. Costing you profits -But if you give the gamer a reason to keep the game, New FREE DLC (of new maps new weapons) every month they become invested. They keep the game, meaning more sales of brand new retail copies (because then gamers think twice about selling because they want the free DLC Content) especially if it's good.
Something Game Companies really need to think about.
There's more money in creating value, then in milking your consumer on DLC..

I don't think y'all understand what I meant, I'm not saying banned use games, I was just saying give the consumer some reason to want hold on to the game...
Like Free DLC.. or new content that comes out every month.. Does not have to be free DLC but whatever gets you to keep the game instead of sell it...
That alone generates more money then the DLC would.. -and again this is just an opinion
if someone else has a better idea or why they think that wouldn't work I would love to hear it. Don't just disagree - state why?

Wow, that went fast.
I've been over BF3 for MONTHS now. Most of my friends have stopped playing altogether.
