The rumours were true: Willem Dafoe (Platoon, Spider-Man) has joined the cast of Quantic Dream's Beyond: Two Souls, which is officially set for release on PS3 this October. Quantic Dream director discusses his newest actor.
I'm looking forward to this game. It'll neat to see how this game turns out.
The facial animations and face design looks Revolutionary !!!
Oh My Goodness! * rubs eyes in disbelief
The Green Goblin! YES! He's a great actor!
Just saw him in The Hunter! Great actor. Hurray David Cage.
David Cage must have balls of steel to be able to have the courage to direct Dafoe and Page.
Nah... Remember GoW3's cast? Clancy Brown Linda Hunt Kevin Sorbo Rip Torn Elijah Wood and Malcolm McDowell
I still think Fable 3's cast will be hard to beat: Michael Fassbender Naomi Harris (28 Days later, Pirates of the Caribbean, Ms Moneypenny from Skyfall) John Cleese Stephen Fry Jonathan Ross (!) Nicolaus Hoult (Beast from X-Men First Class, Skins, About a Boy) Sir Ben Kingsley Simon Pegg Bernard Hill (Theodin from LoTR) Zoe Wanamaker (Harry Potter films) .....
No one cared about GoW3's cast because their faces were not used. The only good voice talent in your list is Rip Torn. The rest should retire. In regards to Quantic Dream getting Willem Dafoe to do voice and character face for Beyond: Two Souls, shut up and take my money!
Elijah Wood is still a great actor. Go watch Sin City. http://25.media.tumblr.com/...
Video game plot lines, screenplay, dialogue is always horrible. David cage isn't good either. We need real writers and directors. Good to see we have actors at least
We don't need dickheads who get obscene amounts of money just for ordering people around. If you want REAL writers and directors, Hollywood is therefor you, with open arms. I think Dafoe is a good choice after seeing the video, but it worries me how games probably won't go down in price, with production value reminiscent of movies. :/
It can be kinda cool when you get a hollywood A-lister in for some voice overs from time to time, but to be perfectly honest, KEEP HOLLYWOOD OUT OF VIDEO GAMES. They already have their own industry. It jacks up production costs and hinders the discovery of new and pre-existing talent in the gaming industry, be it professional voice actors, or talented amateurs that hit the mark. When game characters start looking more like the actors that portrait them, it kinda misses the whole point (it's not about the actor). Sure it works from time to time, but lets keep it time to time and not the norm or standard.
