Development of Star Wars 1313 is on hold, a new report has claimed.
Sources familiar with developer LucasArts told Kotaku development "has been frozen or put on hold" in the wake of Disney's eye-watering $4.05 billion purchase of all things George Lucas last November.
Question is; Who will be the target audience for the new movies. Star Wars would never be rated R and Disney has done PG-13, so its possible to go with a more mature theme. Disney can't be any worse the Lucas.
As for the game, it really depends on Disney. I honestly have no clue what their intentions are for Star Wars.
Personally I would like to see OT/New Republic era rather than the prequel era.
For a company that practically prints money with it's respective licenses, Lucasarts is the poorest excuse for a development house I have ever seen.
Should be hard to make a crap SW game, but LA manages it more often than not.
Imagine if you had MILLIONS of potential customers requesting you make a square widget, and instead you make a circle widget (that nobody asked for or wants).
I just don't get it!?!?
