Batman: Arkham City, Darksiders II in New Xbox 360 Bundle

Starting today, you’ll be able to pick up an Xbox 360 with a 250GB hard drive and two games: Darksiders II and Batman: Arkham City. The Spring Value Bundle will set you back $299.99, and can be bought at most major retailers. (Batman: Arkham City, Darksiders 2, Xbox 360)

How are they selling Darksiders 2 in this bundle since Darksiders IP wasn't bought by anyone according to reports and THQ is no longer in business? What am I missing here?

Good question
Could be a sign that MS bought DSII at 'wholesale price' from them before everything went under. Or some...other deal happened for this to go through.

The Darksiders franchise, along with others, can still be bought in the coming months: http://www.videogamer.com/x...

Great point. MS possibly picked this up dirt cheap and figured why not use as a pack. Especially an easy choice if there was some warehouse allotment of inventory that came with it. They could have easily just said, "we can take all those boxed copies and ship them as part of a pack in value add". Hmmmmm.

Edit: BUT... that additional auction supposedly isn't final until April 15. something still not adding up.

Oh wow darsiders, just when I thought they were dead. Repetitive action, bugs and glitches been noted. Well, I dont care about that as long the boss fights are epic and Darksiders 2 has epic battles, Im sold. April xbox 360 will fly off the shelves again in the USA. Its been great as a 360 gamer, just bring it.

I hate to disappoint but DS2 wasn't all that great IMO.....Arkham city is easily the better of the two games and probably the game people would get the bundle for...... If either of them

Most likely they were already inking some bundle deals before ThQ went bankrupt .

Microsoft does this in the past with bundles from other publishers, so no surprise here. I think they had a bundle with Marvel Marvel Alliance and one with Sonic game from Sega.

Maybe they already had a contract prior to thq closing.

Wonder if Microsoft will have a surprise Darksiders announcement? Probably could have picked up the rights dirt cheap.
