Epic realized that the secret for their success was outside help, as proved by Gears of War 3.
I feel sorry for the Locust!
I remember when I finished with Gears 3 I thought they neglected Baird and his back story, I remember telling my buddies who I played through the campaign with that they should make a prequel and focus on Baird and Cole, and here they go and do it. Really looking forward to playing some of that Overrun mode.
Well said Jek, that would be correct. The reason they focused more on Baird was because we had Marcus' and Dom's story, and then Gears 3 delved a little into Cole's. Baird was left out. Baird and Cole are more interesting than Marcus and Dom IMO. I like that they didn't do what we expected them to do, which was do the whole Marcus Fenix prequel that was touched on in the books and games. I caved in and pre-ordered it. Gears has the best MP afterall imo, at least the least 'laggiest'.
I have been playing Gears 3 multiplayer non-stop since release, and can't wait to get my hands on Gears of War: Judgement. Got it pre-ordered, and waiting!
Got it pre-ordered already. Can't wait.

I bought the 1st GoW in 2006 in release day, and after 10 mins, I hated it and sold it that day..... Last week after being bored of games at the moment, I decided to give the 1st GoW again last weekend, after playing for an hour I decided I was hooked, I bought the triple pick, then bought GoW 3 got it 2 days ago and I'm in the story on that, after 6 years of not giving this series a 2nd look I feel like slapping myself, has to be the best series on Xbox, not gone online yet, but campaign has had me playing with my mouth open and eyes watering lol, in the space of a week I might all 3 and pre-ordered 4, any Xbox owner needs to play this series!!!!
The only issue I had with Gears, is the 1st game set the bar higher than any other two in terms of campaign co-op fun. It just got worse campaign wise. Gears 3 had awesome multiplayer though.
