While not initially on our radar, I took the initiative to include The Elder Scrolls VI on our list to reassure fans (and win over the holdouts) that Bethesda Softworks will grind out yet another multi-award winning RPG. I couldn’t justifiably let February pass by without including the eventual follow up to “the deepest, loveliest game ever made for a single player to explore.”
Replaying Skyrim after 13 years is a reminder of the progress made in western RPGs over the last decade, but also what's been lost.
RPGs are often huge, sprawling endeavours. With limited playtime, we have to choose wisely, so here's the best western RPGs available today.
