Tim Schafer hoping to Buy Back Double Fine Titles

Clickonline writes "Double Fine’s founder, Tim Schafer, is hoping to buy back Costume Quest and Stacking during the next THQ auction when it tries to sell off its remaining IPs. Schafer confirmed this on Twitter when asked if he would be lodging a bid with an emphatic, “Yes!” Six lots of software are up for grabs in total including the developments that Double Fine previously worked on." (Double Fine, PC, PS3, Tim Schafer, Xbox 360)

I wish Tim luck in getting the rights for Stacking and Costume Quest.

I also want a new Destroy All Humans game. Loved the first 2 games and I hope there will be a proper revamp of the series next generation.

Did you ever play DAH Path of Furon for PS3/360? The first two were among my favorite games in the PS2 era as well, but I haven't gotten around to the 3rd. It was never sold in US stores, but Amazon sells it. It's on my short list of games to play before I say goodbye to this gen of gaming.

Edit: @ Dark, thats too bad you didn't enjoy it, I hope I'll have a better experience. Looking at Amazon reviews I see that others were split on the quality of the game as well, but I'm still going to have to try it myself. I hope the ip gets bought and someone can do the series justice again. Lets hope for more variety this coming gen.

Path Of The Furon wasn't developed by Pandemic, and believe me it shows. POTF is easily the worst in the series by far. I regret buying it.

I hope so too, would mean possible sequels :)

If they tweaked costume quest for a slightly older audience I think it will sell well again.

Could you buy back Brutal Legend too from EA? I know it wasn't a perfect game but I still enjoyed it...

and leaving it on a cliffhanger like that... just boo :(

Maybe then we could get the 1.03 patch to fix the game, and not have to rely on workarounds :)
