The Witcher's only real weakness IMO was the combat so I'm very glad to see they're altering it. That could make a good series great if they can pull it off.
Just not so sure fallout is the best game to emulate. I know its just the VATS and that was awesome, so maybe it works. My only worry is that its borrowing from so many different games. He is quicker and moves fast, hunts in wilderness and can learn about animals to hunt (AC3 anyone?) i know they have talked about the world being bigger than skyrim. i guess, though, that if any company can open up their game while kseping the powerful storytelling intact, its cd projeckt. I am very excited. Just remember, bethesda is also working on next gen fallout.
It may be confirmed for the ps4, doesn't mean it's being built for it. I'm more excited about Deep Down because i know the game is being developed with true next-gen intentions
You think Witcher 3 isn't?its built on a new engine with all kind of features and different type of gameplay....PS4 is using PC hardware so there will be no issues performance wise..Witcher 3 will be one of the best rpgs of 2014 on PC/PS4/720..
Uhhh, so was the 360 and PS3 and there's still issues with both systems later on in the cycle. What do you think consoles are? They're simplified PC's with a special OS.
the Witcher 2 would not run at ultra on next gen consoles, this game will be next gen and there is less tweaking to do with the ps4 architecture this time around.
Besides CDPR did a great job with the 360 port so I wouldn't be worried.
Dark Souls 2, by all accounts, looked very next-gen during closed door demos to various media outlets (I believe Edge were shown one). They all remarked that the game looked pretty far beyond what current gen machines were capable of and FROM declined to comment on which platforms the game would be available on (this was in the autumn or late summer, if I recall correctly), which was a not-so-subtle hint that the game is being developed for next gen platforms.
Yes i read that also about Dark Souls 2 but never count your chickens before they are hatch i will rejoice when it is officially announced im hoping sce sony japan make a new demons souls i would love to see how they would evolve demons souls
CD Projekt knows exactly what the consumer wants, this is a dev that everyone should fully support. So hyped for the witcher 3. The story in the first one is still one of my favorite gaming related stories ever.
Neither game will be coming to PS3. The Witcher 3 will be on PS4, if you're lucky TW2 might get a release on PS4 but I don't think it will. I'm pretty sure CDPR have their hands full making the new Red engine and TW3 and Cyberpunk 2077.
It would be very easy to port the wicher 1 and 2 the ps4 it PC hardware ea did it for mass effect 1 and 2 it all depends on how witcher 3 sales on the ps4
the first witcher is probably the best role playing game created since baldurs gate 2 shadow of amn, its really that good, it even surpasses greats like neverwinter nights and ToEE
the second witcher is easily the best rpg besides the first witcher and maybe neverwinter nights
i am BEYOND excited for part 3
i hope they make a witcher compalation with parts 1,2,3 all bundled together so ps4 and nextbox players can experience the complete saga
it is the pinnacle of western rpgs for sure
when cd projekt red talk, bethesda and bioware need to start taking notes!

The souls series is by far one of my fav and with what they are doing with the Witcher series it seems upgrading early will finally be worth it!
And Witcher 2 has mad multiple updated with changed that users requested
