Why Masahiro Sakurai's bum right arm is hindering work on the new Smash Bros.

In the column he regularly writes for Famitsu magazine, Masahiro Sakurai (creator of both Kirby and the Smash Bros. series) mentioned pain in his right arm and hand last month. This week, he reported on the full diagnosis, and from the sounds of things, it's an enormous pain.

Well I have and continue to play Pokemon and how many iterations have they had now? Never get bored of it, so if the market demands so be it.

the Next Smash Brothers is going to be different.

What makes directors, directors, is the work they do. If Kojima delegated all of his stuff to someone else, it wouldn't really be a "Kojima Productions" game. Would it?

Directors on games mostly delegate work to other people, as their time is spread out between meetings for design and issues that arise, and with investors and publishers. Same with project leads for programming and art or whatever. Their job description is pretty much in it's title...they direct.

I've heard many accounts of some of the higher ups on the design teams actually saying they wished they could go back and just do some programming or creating art.

Great! Just simply terrific! First, a game I don't care about (Kid Icarus) delays the production of this, then I hear there might not be new characters, and now Sakurai breaks his arm. It's like God does not want SSB4.
