If you are an independent developer, Sony wants you.
It would be cool to have the dev kits for each platform and then make some awesome little games.
think about it this way, in a few years time some of these indie Devs will become big game players like Gurilla games among others! this is just the beginning for them guys!
Sony is going all out to correct anything they did wrong last gen. Open arms for everyone this time.
I think they realize that indies are just as important as big name studios.
In Kaz we trust.
It'll be really cool if PS4 could get games like minecraft with mods like Voltz and tekkit able to be added onto it. They could get awesome mods like dayz and put it onto the ps4. Although having Dayz on the ps4 is wishful thinking.
I think mm will out do minecraft to be honest.
Should look at the indie games coming for Vita its really impressive and its the perfect platform for it. Retro city rampage sold the most on Vita. https://twitter.com/BriProv... Sony is making a mass push for indie devs at GDC.
Read about this the other day. Hopefully marketing for the Vita will get better as well.
Talking about indie devs. http://www.youtube.com/watc... WOW @smashcrashbash "Open arms for everyone this time." Yep unlike some of Nintendos eShop policys. Sony did a pretty good job with indie devs this gen but the consoles extremely complex CPU caused them a ton of headaches.
excellent, nice job Sony.
Sony is reaching out to get every type of gamer interessted in the PS4. They got Hardcore games, they got motion controlls, they got social functions and they'll get a lot of indie games.
Sony Cares about Gaming Microsoft doesnt Care about Gaming
even though I dont care indie/small games, I know millions of gamers enjoy those games, so Sony is doing a great job lately.
I can't wait! With the PS4 having architecture like a PC, it will be easier for Indie developers to make games for the PS4. Which means, more Indie games, and hopefully some more F2P games. I'm all for supporting Indie Devs.
That was the first thing that came to my mind once they announced which CPU they were using in the PS4. Using PC architecture should open up an entire new world for PlayStation gamers.
"That was the first thing that came to my mind once they announced which CPU they were using in the PS4. Using PC architecture should open up an entire new world for PlayStation gamers. " same here since there is a on board ARM processor most likely in the APU a cortex A5 the PS4 could have a Playstation Mobile SDK type of platform for the PS4, Yoshida talked open about such a platform for the PS4 a few months back. the fact that its most likely a A5 multi core A5 at that means getting Playstation Mobile type games to run on the PSVita and the PS4 with lil cost in investment but have a great ROI for indie developer's is a very good direction i think for Quick pick up an play games.
