BioShock Infinite: City in the Sky Trailer

BioShock Infinite is the third game in the BioShock series. Announced on August 12, 2010, it is Irrational Games' newest project, slated for release on March 26, 2013. BioShock Infinite is not a direct sequel/prequel to any of the previous BioShock games, and it takes place in an entirely different setting, although it shares similar features, gameplay and concepts with the previous games. (BioShock: Infinite, PC, PS3, Xbox 360)

"What goes up....
Must come down"

I can see all of Columbia crashing and burning in an epic finale, that little strap-line may have given the ending away, intresting.

Holy shit this looks good. I couldn't get into the original Bioshock but this has caught my eye for sure.

I have to admit, I didnt get into Bioshock and I have not been following this game.

But just by coincidence I happened to watch a gameplay video on PSN today, and WOW. Its definitely on my radar now, it looks incredible and I think I finally get what all the fuss is about.

If the move implementation is good I might finally have another great experience for my sharpshooter which was incredible on Killzone 3.

So can anyone tell me, is this a stand alone title, you dont have to have played the first one? I think I am going to go back and give Bioshock 1 another go but I dont want to put Infinite on the backburner til I've done that, I will just play them out of order if the stories dont matter.

The release schedule this year is ridiculous, no two ways about. I know people will argue for the upper echelon games to be the best of the year. The Last of Us, Watch Dogs, Killzone Shadow Fall, GTA V, but honestly, nothing comes close to this. The level of ambition is unmatched. Who the hell makes games like this? It has the technical prowess, the incredible art design, the rich world, the gameplay mechanics, the story, the enemy variety. I loved Bioshock, but Ken Levine and Irrational have outdone themselves. This looks immense, like the kind of game that others strive to be.

This trailer is just....good lord, incredible.
